The Lansing Boat Club traces its origins back to 1872 when the first Grand River Boat Club was formed.
In 1944, Ransom E. Olds donated the land that is now Grand River Park to the City of Lansing. He gave the Club permission to use the land, which the City of Lansing leases to the Lansing Boat Club.
Since that time, several other organizations have joined the Lansing Boat Club at Grand River Park including MSU Water Ski Club, MSU Men’s and Women’s Crew Teams, Lansing Oar & Paddle Club, and the Michigan Princess Riverboat.
The Lansing Boat Club has approximately 53 boat slips available for rent on an annual basis. As a member you will be able to select your slip from those slips that are available. You can install your own boat lift in your slip. Members are responsible for maintaining their dock and slip in safe condition.
Membership includes access to the Clubhouse, which is available for your special event at no additional cost. Picnic tables and electrical outlets are also available at no additional cost throughout the Club’s area.
There is also a large fire pit available at no additional cost (we work with the Lansing Fire Department to ensure our pit meets requirements).
See you on the water!
